charity blog round-upIf it is possible to do good as a blogger, why wouldn’t you?

Feedback on the new Charity Connections – Blogging It Forward group suggests that many parent bloggers want to get involved in helping good causes but don’t really know how to go about it.  The truth is that there are probably as many ways to help as there are parent bloggers  With this in mind, here are some diverse examples of how parent bloggers are harnessing the power of their blogs to make a difference and to inspire others.  Do take the time to read these posts that come from the heart and might give you some ideas for your own blog.

Emma took action at a local level to establish a support group for parents who experience babyloss during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

Gemma attended a charity event and encourages us to appreciate that change is possible.  She tells us about Action Aid’s child sponsorship scheme but also about how you can ask your child’s school to give their support.

  1. Great round up Kate. I’ve been involved with a couple of charity blogging campaigns, it really is amazing just the way bloggers can help extend the reach of campaigns by tweeting, RTing, facebooking and blogging etc. Digital giving is huge, yet donations are really down in the current economic climate :(
