Clare Macnaughton, who blogs at A Modern Military Mother, has been featured in Get Hampshire about her speaking engagement at BritMums Live! alongside Ruby Wax, Sarah Brown and Carla Buzasi of the Huffington Post. The article highlights Clare’s blog, her bi-monthly column with Wiltshire Life magazine, and the book she ghost wrote, called ‘Immediate Response’, in conjunction with a serving Royal Marine Major, which was published by Penguin in September 2009. (In the second week of sales it entered at number 9 in The Sunday Times hardback non-fiction top 10 bestseller list.)
Well done, Clare, for your achievements and for increasing mainstream interest in parent blogging!

  2. Oh I think your seminar sounds really interesting! Certainly something I could learn more about.

And well done again for the mention in the news–not only have you done your bit for the cause of blogging into mainstream, it’s also just simply cool to get recognition outside the usual blogging circles.

    • Thanks Michelloui – I hope you come along.

It is good to mix it up and establish credibility – I think this why blogging is such a wonderful thing because you can just do it. You don’t need permission and you learn what works and doesn’t on the journey.

If you want to write then the best training is to write and have people read your writing. Every day is a school day since I joined the Internet superhighway.
